Logisafe offers the following Nationally Recognised Competencies that Applicants must successfully obtain to be able to apply for a Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding.

Licence to conduct Plant Operations:

 

 

CONDUCT TIP TRUCK OPERATIONS: RIIVEH304D (TT),

is appropriate for all rigid body, dog trailer and Semi-trailer tippers.

Note: (If you are operating a heavy vehicle on public roads then you must also have the appropriate drivers
licence for that weight/configuration of vehicle.)

Course Description: This course is designed to prepare a person to safely and effectively operate tip
truck, including

  • Plan and prepare for tip truck operations,
  • Conduct tip truck pre-operational checks,
  • Operate tip truck,
  • Load, transport and tip materials,
  • Carry out operator maintenance, and
  • Clean up

TRAINING:  

Will be conducted at your premises on your machine's

Training: 1-3 days (depends on existing skill levels)
Typically:

  • 1 day in class including a machine induction
  • Nominal 20 hours of supervised tip truck operation in the work environment - recorded in the logbook provided by Logisafe
  • 1 day revision prior to assessment.

 

COURSE CONSISTS OF:

Formal training (including practical training) which covers:

  • The planning and preparation to safely and effectively operate a tip truck
  • The identification and control, of work health and safety issues related to tip truck operation
  • Understanding relevant legislative obligations and duty of care responsibilities belonging to operators of a tip truck
  • The inspection of the tip truck prior to performing work
  • The performance of tip truck tasks in accordance with relevant standards, legislative requirements and industry codes of practice


Informal training (supervised practical training at your workplace):

Prior to commencing a performance assessment, students are required to indicate whether they have existing skills as a tip truck operator, or they are providing a logbook (available from Logisafe) record of informal practical training.

Assessment - 1 day:

Theory examination consisting of 30 questions
Performance test consisting of 14 practical exercises

 

 

 

 

 

Course Description: 

This unit covers conducting roller operations in the civil construction industry. It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; operating and relocating the machine; and carrying out operator maintenance and clean up.

 

This is what is required if you wish to obtain a Roller competency:

1. If you have not already done so, register with Logisafe. Register Here

2. Use the 'Book Online' button to apply for training. You can select multiple machines to be trained and assessed on.

3. We will send an invoice. Once this is paid, training arrangements will be made, either:

  • Attend a 1-day classroom-based training session and machine induction (recommended for new operators), or
  • If you can provide evidence of current or previous use of this type of machine (eg Employer's letter, logbook etc), theory training material can be provided for you to work through in your own time - Study the Training Notes and complete the theory exercises - please contact us during office hours If you require assistance.

4. The one theory assessment covers all of the listed machines. Once you have satisfactorily completed the theory assessment you have three (3) months to complete all performance assessments.

  • Part A needs to be completed for all machines.
  • Part B covers excavator, bobcat, backhoe &/or loader for their lifting capabilities.

5. Complete the nominal hours of supervised operation and record these in the Logbook provided, or provide evidence of machine use (as above).

6. Complete performance assessment(s) for the type(s) of machinery selected.

Trainees MUST BE AGED 18+ YEARS to undertake the practical assessment.

Award:

Successful trainees will receive a Statement of Attainment issued within seven (7) days of assessment.

Wallet-sized photo ID cards are also available.

It includes: planning and preparing; conducting machine pre-operational checks; operating backhoe/ loaders; lifting, carrying and placing materials; selecting, removing and fitting attachments; relocating the backhoe/ loaders; carrying out machine operator maintenance; and cleaning up.

 

This is what is required if you wish to obtain a Backhoe competency:

1. If you have not already done so, register with Logisafe. Register Here

2. Use the 'Book Online' button to apply for training. You can select multiple machines to be trained and assessed on.
