Privacy of Information

Logisafe has a full privacy Policy which details how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) & RTO Standards, which prevents the disclosure to any person or organization without your express permission unless legal exemptions apply.

Course information

For information regarding the course you are considering, please ask administration staff to forward a course outline or profile. This will address the costs of the course and also the venues available in the immediate future. It will also address course content and desired outcomes, as well as identifying any prerequisites and evidence required.

 

Rights & Responsibilities of Students

As a Logisafe student you are asked not to threaten, endanger of offend any other person. You are also asked not to victimize, harass or embarrass any other person.

You have the right;

  • To be free from any form of discrimination and /or harassment
  • To have your learning needs recognized and addressed by the training facilitator and be assisted to achieve the expected course outcome.
  • To be re-assessed if competency is not achieved first time – this may incur further cost.
  • To have your privacy and confidentiality respected.
  • To a prompt refund of course fees when applicable.
  • To access a fair and equitable system to assist with appeals, complaints and grievances.

Please speak to the training facilitator about any of the above issues, or direct correspondence to the manager.

 

Identification

Proof of Identity must be verified at time of course enrolment. Original official documents showing a photo & current residential address must be sighted by the Trainer.

Proof of ID Requirements

In addition to this, any person undertaking an assessment for a High Risk Work Licence must present original ID documents totaling 100 points.

 

Course fees and Refund Policy

All enrolments are considered tentative until payment has been received. For any course cancellations a 48-hour notice period is required for a refund or alternative course dates may be offered.

Withdrawal from courses will be considered on an individual basis and appropriate refunds offered. There will be no immediate refund for non-attendance, however students may rebook to another course depending on current enrolments. (10% administration fee may apply.)

 

Discipline

You are reminded that non-compliance with any Logisafe policies or training staff directives may result in disciplinary action being taken. This could include counselling or exclusion from your course.

 

Appeals & Complaints – Dispute Prevention / Resolution

Logisafe has procedures in place for dealing with appeals & complaints. If you wish to appeal an assessment outcome, or have any grievance with procedures you are encouraged to discuss and resolve these issues with the training facilitator or Logisafe management. If no solution can be agreed upon you are invited to initiate mediation.

 

Access, Welfare & Equity

Logisafe encourages fair and equitable access to all members of the community. If you have some form of disability please inform us at registration in order for appropriate measures to be taken to ensure fair and equitable access. We will endeavor to provide adequate guidance, orientation, information and advice on all welfare and counseling facilities. Students may access their records by submission of a written request, accompanied by appropriate identity verification.

Training

Logisafe will make every effort to ensure all opportunities are explored to assist you in your training.

  • Some courses may have pre-requisites such as prior learning or particular levels of education. These skills can be assessed prior to enrolment.
  • If you have a language or learning disability you may be able to bring an assistant or ask Logisafe to organize one. (An extra cost maybe incurred)
  • Students will be deemed competent or not yet competent at the completion of the course. If you are deemed not yet competent, arrange for reassessment with the trainer or contact the Logisafe office.

Please arrange an interview with the course coordinator to answer any questions you may have prior to attendance.

 

Recognition of Prior Learning

Speak to the course coordinator if you think you may be eligible for RPL. You will be required to prove competency through Statements of Attainment or Statutory Declaration. Other Nationally Recognised qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations will be recognised where appropriate. Some cost may be incurred.

 

Consideration of Existing Skills & Knowledge

 Prior to training, information is gathered at time of registration by each Student to help determine whether the course they wish to perform is appropriate for them, and checked for accuracy at each course enrolment. This information is also used to modify training to meet their individual needs.

 

 Assessment Outcomes

Course participants are assessed as either competent or not yet competent. Confirmation of Training & Assessment results are issued on the day; any further certification or cards are forwarded to successful students within 21 days.

If you dispute the assessments outcome, you have the right of appeal for 30 days after course completion. Contact Logisafe administration staff for assistance with these procedures.

What is Personal or Sensitive Information?

Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.

Examples of Personal Information we collect include names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers. This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including website registration, interviews, correspondence, by telephone, by email, from third parties, and disclosure by you during training or assessment activities.

Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by such third party.

Privacy Policy

• Logisafe respects the privacy of their Clients, both Corporate & individual, & full measures are implemented to act in accordance with appropriate legislation.
• Students are advised of necessary information disclosure to authorised Regulatory Bodies for procedural record and audit purposes.
• Training records will be made available only to students or authorised third parties on receipt of a written request and appropriate ID verification.
• Confirmation of Training, date completed and award attained can be confirmed by telephone at the students’ request, with appropriate ID verification, ie: Date of Birth, Address and Phone No.
• In the event of Logisafe Pty Ltd ceasing to be an RTO, all appropriate records (electronic and hard copy) will be forwarded to ASQA by secure means.

Why we collect your personal information 

As a registered training organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us.

How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO.

How we disclose your personal information

We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.

We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority.

How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information

The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.

The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable:
• administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation
• facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage
• understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information.

The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf.

The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

WORKPLACE TRAINING & ASSESSMENT:

 

All courses offered are developed in accordance with AQF Standards and focus on an effective and enjoyable learning environment that produces positive outcomes.

Logisafe Representatives are qualified experienced professionals that provide quality Training and Assessment services. We believe the personal motivation of our Representatives and their willingness to assist plays a large part in ensuring Client satisfaction. Trainees are encouraged to achieve positive results through increasing skills and awareness in their chosen activity and realising their own personal potential.

A variety of courses are available:

  • Nationally recognised training is offered through both Logisafe’s own accreditation as a Registered Training Organisation and through partnership with other registered organisations.
  • Training / Assessment required under State legislation: Trainers and Assessors have been approved / accredited by either (or both) NSW and Qld governing bodies to provide training and or assessment for these qualifications.
  • Industry recognised training:
  • Client specific training: Individual training courses can be developed to satisfy the requirement to provide training and awareness for specific activities and roles, but for which no recognised training is available. Logisafe has the expertise, qualifications and willingness to consult with individual Clients to develop and deliver training and, if necessary, assessment to meet specific needs.

Individual Trainers and Assessors have been carefully selected to ensure they can demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the field
  • All necessary qualifications / authorisations
  • A commitment to promoting a procative learning environment.

PROOF OF IDENTITY

 

As training and assessment services performed by Logisafe often result in a Nationally Recognised Qualification, Students must provide documentation that supports his/her true identity.

 

The following legal requirements are observed by Logisafe for any training &/or assessment activities performed unless prior approval has been sought & satisfactory evidence of identity can be verified in other ways.

 

  • Original documents showing a photo & current residential address must be presented at time of enrolment.
  • At least one of the documents must be from the list below.
  • Documents must be Australian issue, unless otherwise stated.

        Acceptable Proof of Identity Documents:

  • Drivers Licence
  • Passport
  • Medicare Card
  • Visa with Non-Australian Passport (for international students)
  • Birth Certificate *Please note - an extract is not sufficient
  • Certificate of Registration by Descent

NOTE regarding awards regulated by the relevant State Authority:

  • High Risk Work Licences:
    - The NSW regulator requires 100 points of ID to be presented at Assessment,

Exception for school students:

School students who cannot comply with the ID requirements set out above must provide a birth certificate, passport or Australian Citizenship Certificate (mandatory), and one other proof that may be:

 

  • Students school identity card
  • Student’s library card
  • Student bus pass
  • Signed letter (on school letterhead) from the School Principal

OR

  • Current credit card, account card or passbook from a banking institution

OR

  • Mobile phone account in their name less than one year old.
  • If any of these documents are being mailed, they will need to be certified by a Justice of the Peace.

 

In some instances, if the applicant is unable to provide sufficient documentary evidence, a Statutory Declaration may be an acceptable alternative provided prior approval has been granted by Logisafe Head Office. This must be completed by the applicant & witnessed by a Justice of the Peace.

Due to the compexity of requirements, Logisafe requires students to initially register online through the "Forms" menu (top of website). This 1-off process provides all the information we are legally required to collect, and enables us to then keep the information we ask from you for each training application to a minimum. The company was founded in 1989 by Brenda who now, with John, aims to provide what the name suggests, “Logical Safety” solutions. We enjoy great business relations with a wide variety of clients & business associates, and are proud of the support & reputation we have.

We are based near Bundaberg in Queensland with Representatives south of Brisbane and in the Northern Rivers, NSW. We service a range of Clients from large international corporations to small family businesses and sole traders. Although initially focusing on building and construction operations, we have continued to expand our scope to meet a growing demand from new Clients involved in different industries.
