In order to attain a
National Certificate of Competency
OHSCER215A – Operate a Roller students must undergo a structured training programme to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully complete a Theory and Practical Assessment.

Enrolment
Complete the pre-enrolment application sheet and forward to Logisafe.

When the application sheet is received a Logisafe representative will arrange for an interview (can be conducted by phone). Logisafe will establish the individual students needs and level of existing skills and knowledge to enable a tailored Training Plan to be developed. This involves establishing how the various components of the training are to be conducted, with Logisafe, the Employer and the Student all involved.

Theory Training

Theory training covers the knowledge components of this competency and includes, OHS Legislative compliance, work permits, electrical clearances and the like. This training can be conducted at Logisafe or the Employers premises (depending on suitability) and includes classroom style delivery and the use of a comprehensive set of reference notes and revision exercises.
All Logisafe Training includes a review of Basic Risk Management.

Practical Training

Practical training is usually conducted at the students workplace in arrangement with the Employer and under the supervision of an appropriately qualified operator. Records of practical training are maintained in the supplied Logbook and must be signed off by the Employer or an approved representative.

Practical Training may be completed at a Logisafe venue, however this will incur additional cost for machine time.

Assessment

When the Student and the Employer feel they are ready to attempt the MANDATORY Challenge Test a time will be set for an Accredited Logisafe Assessor to conduct both the Theory and Practical Assessments of the Students Knowledge and Skills.

RPL
(Recognition of Prior Learning)

RPL Applications are available through Logisafe. If you wish to undertake the RPL process a fee will be charged in addition to the assessment cost. Suitable evidence of previous qualifications/licences will be required along with supporting verification such as letters from employers, training package requirements of previous courses and more. All evidence must be collected and deemed suitable in order for RPL application to be successful. (Please contact Office.)
